GoIntroduction

This guideline explains how you can give new customers the best possible introduction of GoStudent platform in their first lesson.

Explaining the Dashboard to your student.

In the first lesson after the trial lesson (the first regular lesson), show each of your students how to get started with tutoring and the main features of the Dashboard.

  1. Share the student’s screen
    • Ask your student to share their screen. This way, you can guide them more easily through the tutorial step by step.
  2. Login via Chrome
    • Instruct the student to open gostudent.org/login via Chrome and after entering their login mobile number (their own number or their parent’s), enter the 4-digit code from the text message.
  3. Fill in profile
    • The student has to fill in some data (name, year group, birthday etc.) the first time round.
      Help your student with this! This data only needs to be filled in once.
  4. “My tutoring lesson”
    • Show your student where they can find the overview of their tutoring sessions in the menu (top left) and explain how to click on “Start lesson” to join the tutoring session.

        5. Using GoChat to keep in touch. 

  • Please also inform your student that they will be in touch with you using the GoChat Function. You can show them where to find it and what it looks like so they can get familiar with the interface.   

Done!

From now on, your student is able to independently join the booked sessions! Be sure you give a detailed introduction to all new students.

 

Please note

  • New students will receive a direct link from GoStudent only for the trial lesson and first lesson. After that, they must enter through their account on gostudent.org
  • Explaining the Dashboard only takes a few minutes - if done correctly, it saves everyone a lot of time and effort in the future!
